Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Dad Update #2

I was able to spend a couple of hours with Dad this afternoon. He was moved into ICU last night because his blood pressure wouldn't come up, and the meds they were using began to give him a heart erithmea which he doesn't need! The new meds they changed him to worked great, and his blood pressure is back to normal as of this evening. He was able to get up for a few minutes this afternoon and sit in a chair, which is the first he has been up since Tuesday morning. It made him feel a bit sick to be up, but it was a good start. We still do not have his test results back, I am hoping for tomorrow or Monday. The Dr. is saying that he may be in the hospital for up to 2 more weeks, so he has a road ahead of him. His sense of humor is still good, aside from the fact that he is having a lot of back pain from having to lay down in that awful hospital bed for so long. Hopefully since his blood pressure is up he can be moved out of ICU soon, but right now he has a room to himself, so it might stink to give that up! I am sorry that I haven't spoken to many of you personally this week, but I am so grateful for your prayers, calls and emails. I have been trying to keep Aaron's school schedule as normal as possible, and go see my Dad in the afternoons. I will let you know any news as I get it!
