Dad and Ellie

I have spent a lot of time with Dad this week, and I can see improvements everyday! He is getting around better, getting some rest, and has been eating well. I think here in the next couple of weeks he will be driving and out and about. I think cabin fever is setting in for him big time! It is so good to see him getting better, and I know it is only a matter of time before his life gets back to normal, and I know how ready he is for that day! I have really enjoyed spending a lot of time with him, just talking and hanging out, so even when he is better I will still be going down there to bug him on a regular basis!!! Ellie is at a rehab/nursing facility for the week to relearn how to get around on her broken leg. Luckily, she was already in good shape, so it shouldn't take her too long to bounce back. I will take her home sometime this weekend or so. They have great neighbors who have been bringing over meals, so that had been such a huge help to me and Jenny. I have to say that the Lord has a way of bringing such a strong bond of love and togetherness during a time of crisis, and I am really seeing that in my family right now. We have always been very close, but I feel that the bond has been reinforsed even more. There is always a silver lining in the clouds, huh?
