Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Dad and Ellie Update

Well, Dad went home yesterday after 16 days in the hospital, and he was happy to get there! Jenny and I will be in and out several times over the next couple weeks, and he has a visiting nurse that will be in a few times a week as well. He is really tired and sore, but overall doing great for all he has been through. He will more than likely start a 28 day radiation treatment in a month or so. Ellie came through surgery well yesterday, it only took around 45 minutes. The dr. put 3 pins in her femur. Her left wrist also has a possible fracture, when the swelling goes down it will be easier to tell whether or not it is broken. She will start physical therapy today and I am going to visit her this morning before I go and see Dad to see when they are going to send her home. She may need more care than he does, so I hope they will send a nurse daily at that time for her physical therapy to help her heal up. So one light of possitive news through all of this is that Jenny is going to have a boy! So I am very excited about that, and so is Aaron. It has been a couple of wild weeks around here, but I am hanging on!!! :)
