Thanksgiving #1 is in the record books for this year. We had a wonderful family dinner at Greg's Mom's house with Granny, Sharon's family, Brooke and Terah, and Jeff. Lots of talking, laughter, and delicious food rounded out our day.
I know there is so much to be thankful for, and that the Lord has truly blessed my life. But, the holidays are so much different without my Dad, and not having him here right now brings me so much sadness and sorrow. But, I know that he would want me to press forward, and I am working on it, but it will be a process. And yet, I must still be thankful in ALL things. The Lord is always good, and of that I am confident.
Dear Jill, My heart goes out to you. I lost my father last January. This is my first Christmas without him.
ReplyDeleteI wanted to drop by to say Hello as I saw that you had signed up to follow my blog. Thank you so much! I'm honored!
We did Awana when my teens were younger. I was secretary for the 5th grade boys. It was a lot of fun. I have four boys..so it was not a big deal. Ha! I have only one daughter..so we are very close.
I'm so glad to meet you!
Blessings,
Donna
Jill, I forgot to mention that we have seven acres and just moved out here four years ago. We are 'transplanted urbanites'...I love the photo on your header! We rarely get that much snow in the Sam Houston Nat. Forest.
