Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Family Gathering

My cousin Anne and her girls are in for the week from Denver and staying with her mom, which is my Aunt Paula. The family all came over Sunday for dinner, and it was so good for all of us to be together! I hadn't seen Anne and the girls, Kate and Carrie, in a couple years, and can't get over how much they have grown. They are such beautiful girls, and Aaron was so happy to see them. The 3 of them played as if no time had passed since the last time they were together ! Aaron and Kate spent much of their time in the garage, using Greg's tools to crush up rocks to look for gems and gold. I don't think they struck it rich, but they had fun trying! Carrie played with them, but also hung around the grown ups. She really liked Greg, saying that he was pretty cool. She liked the garden, eating blackberries off of the vine, picking tomatoes, looking at pumpkins and finding a gourd to take home. I loved catching up with Anne, and spending time with Mom, Paula, Jenny, Kane, and all the guys, too. ( Kane was not impressed with the picture taking, as seen in the pic! :) If Allie and Matt could have been here, our group would have been complete. They were missed! There is definatly nothing better in the world than having the people you love gathered together under your roof. :)

Also this past Thursday, Greg's grandma ( aka Granny ) took a fall outside his mom's house and ended up with 2 breaks in her pelvic bone. She spent 4 days in the hospital, and was transfered today to a nursing home for the next few weeks for rehab. Please keep this precious woman in your prayers!
