Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Christmas at Mamaw's

Today was Christmas #1 for us at Greg's mom's house. We enjoyed an unbelievable amount of delicious food, and I don't think I will be able to fasten any of my pants for at least a week. But it was worth every yummy bite! We also had a gift exchange, and all of the kiddos were thrilled with their gifts. Aaron is already playing with his Lightning Mcqueen racetrack and his Lego Star Wars Wii game. It was so much fun watching my Great Niece Terah open her gifts, and carefully inspect and play with each one. She says things are "pretty", and if it is cute and cuddly, it is her "baby". She loves to cuddle all of her new dolls and push them around in her new doll stroller. She is precious! I also got to hang out with Brooke, Chase and Lacey, my wonderful nieces and nephew that are simply growing too fast for my liking. Aaron is at the age where he likes to hang out in the basement and play video games at mamaw's house, but will hang out with us if there is food or gifts involved. I see the tween starting to emerge in him! Lacey and Chase joined him often in his game playing, though ! Mom's cousin Gary came up from KY, and Brooke's boyfriend Matt also came to enjoy our celebration today. All in all, it was a wonderful day to enjoy our family, with lots of laughing and simply being together. Honestly, it brings my blessings back into perspective! :)
