Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Brookville Lake

Me, Dad and Jenny just returned today from a few days at Brookville Lake. We relaxed, then relaxed, and then thought we should relax some more! The views from the condo were great, we had a wonderful view of the marina and the south end of the lake. There was also a pool, which was refreshing since it was steaming hot outside! This was a nice trip change for us from Put In Bay, with not as much time on the road, and we also cooked in most of the time which was a dollar saver as well. We kicked back on the deck, listened to a lot of Jimmy Buffett and I also put in some Ricky Skaggs. Dad and I love Ricky Skaggs, but Jenny, not so much! She didn't even appreciate our singing to her, and I just don't understand that at all! :) We ate well, steaks the first night and buffalo burgers the next. We had 2 lunches at the resturant next door, which was pretty good. ( ask Dad what he told the waitress about me before I got to the resturant ! I can't post it here, but all I can say is that she looked at me funny whan I arrived!!! :) Our condo was okay but not the best, just annoyances like coffee makers that don't work, no paper towels or dish soap, and teflon peeling off the skillets. That was kinda gross! But the 3 of us always have a great time, regardless of where we are or what we are doing! I am always so thankful for the trips I take with Dad and Jenny every year. It is so much fun to kick back, relax, and laugh until our stomachs hurt! I love you both!!!
