We are planning on doing several field trips this year with our good friends, Robyn and Aaron. Yes, we each have an Aaron! It makes it so convienient, one of us will yell the name Aaron, and they both come running. So easy! :) We all have so much more in common beyond that, it is almost comical, when you add in that we both have only children, both of us have fibro, live in the country, are homeschoolers, the list goes on! The more we talk, the more we laugh at the similarities!!! This is our first field trip this year, and we decided to take them to Carriage Hill Farm. First we had a picnic lunch, and then toured the small museum about the farm, and watched a short video. Both of the boys liked the old fashioned classroom, and kid sized farmhouse to play in. We took them to see the main house, the barns and animals, and the family cemetary. I loved the fireplaces in the main house, and also all of the beautiful canned goods in the pantry. We took them to the large pond last, where the boys played and were satisfied to throw rocks in the water for an hour! We had such a lovely day. I am thankful for such wonderful friends, and for the fun and fellowship we will have while we teach our boys this year!
