Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Reds Autograph Signing

Today Aaron had one of the biggest thrills of his 8 1/2 years. The Reds had a winter caravan meeting the fans, and one of the stops was at the Air Force Museum. We went, not quite knowing what to expect. There were 400 seats set up, and if you were seated, you were guarenteed to get autographs and be there for a q&a session. So, we were lucky enough to get seats, and due to a nice gentleman who thought Aaron was so polite and cute ( he is, you know! ) He gave Aaron his aisle seat so he could see better. Fox commentator Thom Brenneman was there, Dragons Manager and former Red Todd Benzinger, Outfielder Jay Bruce, who Aaron loves, top draft pick Todd Frazier, GM Walt Jocketty and owner Phil Castilini. During the q&a session, Aaron raised his hand to ask the players a question, and someone walked up to him with a microphone! So he asked Walt Jocketty, in a very serious tone " Is Aaron Harrang ( reds starting pitcher who went on the disabled list last year ) healthy and ready to play opening day?" It was very professional! Afterwards, he had everyone except Jay Bruce sign his hat, and he had Bruce sign a picture Aaron had of him in his calendar. Todd Benzinger even invited Aaron to come and see him at a Dragon's game this season! Needless to say, Aaron is floating on cloud 9 right now!
