Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

The Thanksgiving Marathon

Thanksgiving lasts a week around here, with bunches of stops to make! The first one of the week was with Greg's mom. I had the honor of feeding baby Terah her first Thanksgiving dinner! She loved the mashed potatoes, green beans and rolls. Everytime I tried to get a bite in for myself, she would give me a sharp holler of disapproval! She is such a sweetheart! Stop #2, on Thanksgiving day, was at Greg's dad's. Aaron's Chicago cousins were all there as well as Sharon's kids. Grandma Bev had all of the kids do a coloring contest ( they all won, by the way! ) and it was a great way to keep them entertained. Tonight we had dinner at my dad's. I got to spend time with baby Kane, and also my cousins Sandy and Howard, it was so nice to see them. Also, no turkey at dad's since he figured we were all turkeyed out, so he had chicken cordon bleu. Yummy!!! All in all, it has been a fun yet very busy week around here, and I think I have gained no less than 10 pounds...
