Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Hocking Hills Trip

We usually like to head to Hocking Hills for a few days around our anniversary every year.We just celebrated 12 years of marriage on the 25th! This year we stayed at a different cabin than usual, this one was outside of Logan. It was definatly the best one yet! Comfortable, clean, and just built this summer, it had a gas fireplace, pool table, and the all important hot tub. Sooo relaxing!!! The guys saw a deer out back and there were tons of beautiful birds at the feeders. Aaron asked if he could have the cabin for a Christmas gift....I wish!!! We hiked to Cedar Falls, Old Man's Cave ( my favorite hike there ), Upper Falls, and Rock House. I also insisted that we stop at a few antique stores, much to the guy's dismay. Aaron loves to crawl around inside the caves and explore, and get as dirty as possible! He wanted to be in camo so he couldn't be spotted by wildlife, that was too cute! The leaves were still really pretty and since we had quite a bit of rain, the waterfalls had a lot of water going over them. It was a short, but relaxing trip. I really miss that hot tub!!!
