Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Dad Update

As many of you know, Dad had a lung biopsy done, and the results we were given was that it was the spread of his colon cancer. The day after that result, Dad had a talk with the Dr. in Columbus that does his cancer treatments. This Dr. said that the results of the biopsy did NOT confirm that the spots are cancerous. From what I understand, there was a type of mucus there surrounding the cells in the biopsy sample that is usually present in malignant cells. That is why the surgeon said that this is cancer. The kicker here is that even though the mucus was present, the cells within it were not malignant! So, this Dr. is growing a lovely garden of Dad's cells to get a large enough sample to figure out what this stuff is. We are still figuring that it is probably cancer, but we are praying that it is not! We should know in about 2 weeks what these spots are, so he can start treatment again. He still feels great and is upbeat and ready to get treatment started again . His Dr. is confident that he can come up with the right treatment to get him on the mend. Keep praying for him and for Ellie as they continue on this journey, AKA " roller coaster ride! "
