Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Creation Museum

Aaron and I spent the day at the Creation Museum yesterday with some of our church family. To say that we loved it is an understatement!!! It was like opening up the book of Genesis and getting to step into it, and see it with your own eyes. We walked through the Garden of Eden, what the world turned into once sin entered in, Noah building the Ark, and the world after the flood. All of the models of the people in the Bible looked so realistic, some actually talked and moved, you had to look twice to see if they were real or not! The dinosaurs were life size and looked so real, really cool! The gardens were in full bloom and were amazing. So many flowers, animals, bridges and waterfalls abound, it was beautiful and peaceful. We also met the man who opened the museum and has written many books, Ken Ham, while we walked the garden. Aaron liked the petting zoo ( he looks a bit uncomfortable around the camel! LOL! ), and we loved the movie Men in White. It was a short film in an Imax type of theatre. There were several short films, and also different workshops and speakers throughout the day. Also a huge gift store, and a few really good places to eat. I recommend this museum to anyone who wants to learn how our Creator made our world! So amazing!!!
Speaking on such things, I will get on my soapbox about "touchdown, big butter Jesus", or as my Mother-in-law calls him, "quicksand Jesus", since he looks like he is sinking!!! I think it is awesome that God has done away with that statue. He was tired of being made a mockery, so he got rid of it in high style!!! Now that crazy church wants to rebuild it. I wonder how He will get rid of the next statue? LOL!!! Okay, I will step down off my soap box now!!!
