Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Springtime At The Homestead

Here's a few pics of the beautiful day today! Aaron working on his cursive, Garfield stretched out in the sun, and Peyton behaving badly!!! The garden is making an apperance with potatoes, onions, peas, carrots and lettuce peeking their heads out of the soil. I will plant tomatoes, peppers, and other warm weather plants in a couple of weeks. The iris are in bloom, which were a start given to me several years ago from my wonderful friend and former neighbor in Lewisburg, Amy. We have been working on "country-fying" the front of the house, by putting in new plants and a new screen door. I love the hanging baskets and the azalias! ( many years ago Greg and I stayed at a B&B in Virgina called the Azalia House, so the plants bring back good memories! ) We have a new porch fence on order that will be in in a few weeks, and also a lot of new flowers will be going out too. The asparagus is planted, and the strawberries are in bloom in the raised beds, I can't wait for fresh strawberries!!! We have lived here almost a year now, and it is by far the most wonderful place I have ever lived. It is so peaceful, and I love having so much room to roam. I know that the Lord had this place set aside just for us, and I can't imagine being anywhere else!!!
