Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Baseball Opening Day

Aaron's baseball opener was delayed until this past Wednesday due to rain over the weekend, but they had a great first game! He has been a little uneasy about playing, because this is his first year in kid pitch. I can't say I blame him, if I had a 9 year old throwing a baseball right at me as hard as he could, I would be uneasy, too! He didn't get any hits in this game, but he did get a walk and scored a run. He played outfield also, which is new territory for him since he usually plays 2nd base or shortstop. But, the game went well and he felt a little more at ease. He made up his rain out game today, and he did so well, he had 2 base hits and also got to play 2nd base in the 6th inning, so I came home with a happy boy! Baseball is such a passion for him, and I am glad that his season is off to a good start!!!
