Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

Christmas = The Birth of Our Savior, Family, Gifts, Too Much Food, Heartburn, and Exhaustion ( In That Order )

As you can see, our Christmas celebrations last awhile in several different locations! First, on the 23rd, my sis Jenny and I took our boys to visit our elderly cousin, Alice June. She is a sweet lady, and it was good to spend time with her. Later on that day, we had our first celebration at Greg's mom's house. We had a blast, we are kind of a rowdy group! :) Lots of food, fun, and laughter! And yes, my brother in law Andy IS powered by bacon!!!! Christmas Eve we spent the afternoon with Greg's dad and stepmom Bev, and had a great meal and lots of laughter there, too! We went to Christmas Eve church that evening, and brought along niece Lacey. That is always my favorite church service of the year. I always bawl my eyes out during our candle lit version of Silent Night, and this year was no different. There is something about that moment that draws me in so close to our Savior, I wish we could do that service more than once a year. Christmas morning was spent opening gifts here at home, then church, then we headed to my mom's for snacks, gifts, and time together. Whew! A wonderful time we had, but I am still recovering I think. My house looks like Christmas exploded, I have enough ham leftovers to feed a small tribe, and I am still suffering from the sugar crash from Friday from eating Killer Brownies at my mother in laws. Oh, but they were delicious. And sinful. And fattening. I think I need to break out the Wii Zumba that Greg got me for Christmas. But I am unable to move. I need Tums.......

  2. Kane LOVES the Mickey train, and played with it most of the afternoon! We got to see Jeff's girls Monday afternoon when they went to Pats house. Jeff had to work on Friday during part of our Christmas at Pats, but stopped by on his way home. I can't wait for our girls weekend!!!!! :)
