Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

O' Christmas Tree

The fall decorations have come down, and the Christmas ones are going up! If the rain ever lets up I will take pics of the outside things, too. Although the rain seems to be changing to snow now, making things a bit more festive! The decorating is about done, the shopping and the cards are done, too. I try to get it done early so I can enjoy baking and other festivities later and not have to worry about shopping. My wrapping isn't done yet though, since I did about half of my shopping on line and it hasn't all arrived yet. Don' t you love online shopping? Nothing like shopping in your jammies with a hot cup of tea! :) I like to shop local specialty shops too, I usually do all I can there first. The rest I do online, it is so much more relaxing!!! Aaron has moved beyond believing in Santa, this year is a first for that. It makes me a bit sad, but I won't have to sneak around as much this year with santa stuff. It is hard to believe he is so old! I am thankful that he still enjoys helping us decorate the tree. It won't be much longer before he is tall enough to put the angel on himself, and doesn't need Greg to lift him up there! LOL!

  1. I've wrapped all that has thus far arrived...you are right, online shopping is the best (and it's job security for my hubby!) Cards have been ordered and the house is decorated with the exception of the tree which will not make an appearance until around the 17th.
