Welcome to our homestead! Our home is a fun one, full of love, laughter, and downright goofiness sometimes! Check in on us as we tend to our rural 2 acres, raise our 11 year old son, fight fires and chase bad guys! ( That's just Greg, I'll stick with the gardening and cooking! ) We pray that we honor the Lord in the process, as we strive to grow in His grace.

A Surprise Championship For Aaron!

Aaron's regular baseball season ended Saturday morning with a first round tournament loss. He was sad that his season was over, until I got a call Saturday evening from his coach, telling me that one of the higher leagues was going to be in the final rounds of tournament play on Sunday, and were short a player, and wanted Aaron to be their stand in! He was so excited! So Aaron and his friend Josh, also from his team, got to play in 2 games on Sunday. They won the first game, so then they got to play in the championship round! They lost that game, but came in 2nd place in the league. He played centerfield both games, and his big play was that he caught a line drive! He also walked twice and struck out twice, but he did make contact with the ball and fouled a few off. Since Aaron played those 2 games for them, he was awarded a trophy with the team! He did a great job playing with the big boys. This was the first time he had played kid pitch baseball, since his league is coach pitch. I am proud of you Aaron, you did a great job!
